Aromas of blackberries, mahogany, black pepper and wet leaves. A complex, joyful, gorgeously layered taste of rich red and black fruits, Dutch licorice, cumin, pepper, chocolate and a sliver of mandarins. Non-obtrusive tannins meld well with the acidity. Impressive overall.

DECANTER : 92

A sizeable structure makes this pretty subdued right now, but it opens to show measured and attractively paced black fruits, combined with sappy mineralogy, crushed stone and slate. Enjoyable.

A very fine-grained and beautiful red with dark-berry and chocolate character, medium body and a juicy finish. Nicely integrated.

Antonio Galloni : 90-93 

The 2018 Trianon packs a serious punch. Cedar, tobacco, dried flowers and leather add a good deal of aromatic and flavor intensity to this potent Saint-Émilion. There is no shortage of nuance or complexity to this juicy, flavorful Saint-Émilion. The 2018 has a terrific energy and fruit purity to it. 

Jeb Dunnuck : 91-93 

Deeply colored, the 2018 Château Trianon has a big kick of minerality as well as complex notes of chocolate covered black cherries, dried earth and spice. Medium to full-bodied, perfectly balanced and with a great mouthfeel and finish.
